Update 10/23/06

Watsonville 200 lap race offered one of the best racing surfaces I have had the pleasure to race on. I started 11th, quickly got up to 4th then the steering locked up which caused the crash into a tire ending the night at 38 laps.

Update 10/15/06

We ran extremely strong during the enduro starting 13th and getting into the top 3 when a hard hit caused a wire to come off the distributer. Bring on Watsonville on the 21st!!

update 10/9/06

I ran the Petaluma Open as a test and tune for the upcoming

Petaluma enduro on the 14th and the Watsonville enduro on the 21st. Ran 27 laps out of 30. Ended up with bent upper control arm and a flat tire.

Update 8/20/06

We started the chow race in second place, quickly had a flat tire, changed it, ran strong then motor stopped. Wouldnt restart. I think the problem is electrical. Will regroup and get back to action in October @ Petaluma and Altamont.

Update 8/3/06

This once promising season is turning into a joke with the second enduro race being cancelled. This time compliments of Ocean Watsonville Speedway. Winland Racing will be ready for Chowchilla on 8/19/06. Motor repairs included new bearings and crankshaft and the tranny was rebuilt. Cost to race.....OUCH!...time on the track...Priceless!

Update 7/7/06

After a much deserved month off, I pulled my motor and tranny to get refreshed. The motor may have some bearing damage due to a bad comp cam and the tranny wont go into gear. The immediate goal is to get everything back together and ready for battle in Watsonville on August 5th.

Update 6/1/06

The racing gods were not to friendly to the Winland Racing team on Memorial Day. I ended up overheating the motor and blowing the transmission. Now it is time to regroup and come back strong for the next challenge~

For whatever reason it went flat. The car runs like a rocket now and I am preparing for the Chico 200 on Memorial Day.

2006 season

Update 4/23/06

I completed the motor install, exaust, new studs on the front rotors and am in the process of installing a new Kirkey seat. Altamont cancelled due to the weather and the track prep. I have received approval to run a pure stock show in Watsonville at the New Ocean Speedway sometime in May. I plan on using that as a test and tune for the 200 lapper in Chico on Memorial Day. I will be interested to see how competitive I can be against that class. More info to come.......

His son is a top runner at Antioch in the Dirt Modifieds and his Nephew, Randy Hannagan has grown from his roots at the San Jose Speedway to the World of Outlaws circuit. He can sell you all the plumbing supplies you needs as well as a bad a__ motor!

My plan is to install the motor during the Easter break and get the car back together for the Re-opening of the Altamont Motorsports Park on 4/29/06. Now Mother nature needs to slow down a bit so the track can get completed in time.

Update 2/22/06

Off Season Preperation has started. I recently had a frame shop pull out my frame that was bent at Watsonville a few years ago. I am having a motor put together and plan on installing it in March.

I have also been helping John with his camaro build. We are just abut complete with the rollbar.
